The white (napkin) shorts.

How are you on that sunny Friday? Since the weather is not too bad today I wanted to share with you one of my favourite looks that I've worn lately. As I mentioned yesterday, I was very happy to get hold of a pair of white shorts from Zara. They did raise concerns about my dignity when getting in and out of the car when they were thought to be a skirt. But not to worry. I've got it covered. Literarily.

What goes best with white? Anyting. But this time I went for black. Monochrome seems to be very present in my outfits lately. Cannot get enough of it! I'm hoping to have an occasion to pop these shorts on this weekend. Whatever your plans are, make sure you eat good food in good company. That's what I'm intending to do. And catch up on my magazines. Maybe. Have a good weekend everyone!

New in. In black and white.

Bank Holiday is always a good occasion to shop. A Wednesday afternoon as well actually. Well... any occasion is good to shop. As I say: if in doubt, go shopping. Retail therapy seems to be working wonders! Especially when you get hold of items you have been looking forward to getting for quite a while!

I am sure you're all familiar with the white Zara shorts reminding my friends of a folded napkin. They appeared in Zara's February lookbook and sold out in seconds. Well, apart form this little pair hanging in my wardrobe now! It was the last pair in the shop so I felt quite lucky! I also managed to get the embellished jacquard top that has been on my mind lately. I love the fabric, the cut and the embellishment around the neckline. What's not to love about it?

I also went for a simple black tshirt with a lace back. Can't keep it too simple for some reason... Alse, as I mentioned in my previous post, I am soooo into strappy sandals. Maybe it's the fact they they are summery, maybe it's because Carrie Bradshaw used to stroll around NYC street wearing them. I'm not sure. But I couldn't resist this monochrome pair. My physiotherapist would kill me if I came to his office wearing them! I cannot wait to show you all these new clothes on the blog though!

Neon and leather shorts.

Oh what a lovely bank holiday weekend it was! We got our well deserved sunshine here. Another reason to wear shorts! On Sunday I wore my shorts with a neon jumper. Just to combine the two trends together. Aa far as my feet are concerned, I'm soooooo into strappy sandals at the moment.

I never used to like my feet in sandals. Ever. I find feet creepy in general. But something changed and I get them out there nowadays! These sandals are new, (very) high-heeled and positively chic. There was no way I was going to let them stand sadly on the shop shelf. They came home with me and we intend to be very happy together. My physiotherapist might differ here but hey... Life is too short to wear boring clothes, right?

Triple denim.

Can you believe how cold it is? Digging a warm jacket out of the bottom of the wardrobe was the last thing I expected to do in the end of May! But hey, summer will be here soon, right? What are you up to this weekend? It's a longer one so I'm planning to pop down to London to catch up on gossip and experience some culture. Shopping and lunch with good company are also included.

Today I wanted to share with you a casual triple denim look. One cannot possibly wear too much denim. I popped on simple jeans, a denim shirt and a denim jacket that was a surprising gift! Still very happy with it. I also decided to wear my most comfortable trainers ever.

I'm off to meet PJ to take some photos for the blog. We'll try not to freeze to death! Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Inspiration. Summer shorts.

photos via Angleca Blick, Stylescrapbook, Fashion Vibe, Studded Hearts, Stockholm Streetstyle

Don't you just wish you could wear shorts every day? Since I live in the UK I can only dream about it... There might be two occasions a year to actually put them on! But there's something about shorts that makes them the most comfortable item of clothing ever. Is it because we wear them as careless children? Is it because you don't have to mind the way you get out of the car (as opposed to doing so when wearing a short skirt)? Or is it the fact that we normally bring them with us on our holiday trips?

There are so many varieties of shorts as well. Something to suit everyone. You can either go for a little denim number with a white t-shirt or smart tailored ones with a matching blazer. They are great for tidying up your garden as well as going out. Your shorts can be leather or silk. They look great with trainers and heels.

There are just a couple of rules to follow. Rule number one: leave your bum-cheeks covered. Seriously, no one fancies seeing the bottom of your beautifully shaped and perky cheeks hanging out. Leave something for the imagination. Rule number two: take care of your legs. Make sure you exfoliate and moisturise the skin regularly. It does make a difference. Exfoliation makes your skin look radiant, smooth, younger. If you do that to your face why not apply the same rule to the legs? Even if they aren't Heidi Klum -like long and Jennifer Lopez-like tanned, they will still look better when they are looked after.
