Saturday morning.

Easy like Saturday morning? What are your Saturdays like? Do you roll in bed till midday? Maybe you're up at 6am for a morning workout (no, I'm not crazy)? Today I've decided to do something I don't normally have time for - a nice breakfast with a cup of the best latte in town - made by myself with carefully selected beans and the best milk ever (milk DOES make a difference). I'm catching up on reading magazines, putting fresh nail varnish on (I'm currently in love with Estee Lauder So vain from the new spring collection) and flicking through my favourite blogs, of course. It's cold and miserable outside so I think I might stay at my breakfast table for a few more minutes... Have a relaxing Saturday lovely people!

It's a brow thing.

Eye brows have made a come back recently. I mean, when I was a teenager I barely noticed their existence. There were girls who had big brows, thin brows, monobrows or hardly any brows in a weird shape. Those were the times when anyone could get away with bad eyebrows. Good old times, eh? Not the case any more, girls, so get to it before it's too late!

Thin eyebrows are pesrona non grata nowadays. Forget about two squareish thin lines that are barely visible and, God forbid, lighter than your actual hair! Unless you're Tilda Swinton, you mustn't, I repeat, MUSTN"T trim your eyebrows too much. The thicker the better. Don't worry if your eyebrows look like two fat caterpillars looking for a head of lettuce. Just make sure they are nicely shaped. They are meant to be looking as if they were taken care of effortlessly.

Now imagine the horror of my housemate J. when she got back form a Superdrug brow bar. Her and I started growing our eyebrows sometime last year (she is way more successful than me but I blame my OCD combined with tweezers) and believe me - if you saw just a photo of her eyebrows and Cara Delevingne's ones you would struggle to tell the difference. That's how good, thick and perfectly shaped they were. She just casually strolled down past the brow bar to make sure they were still nicely shaped and the lovely lady holding the thread professionally in her mouth just turned out to not be a great listener. 'Just a trim, please, I want to keep them thick and all' J. says. A few minutes later, not suspecting a thing she comes home, looks analytically in the mirror and notices that there's something wrong about her face. Something is just... different. Mortified, she realises it's the brows. Nearly half of their thickness was gone! She started looking at recent photos and realised that the way back to nice and thick brows will b a long one... So please, dear threading ladies, listen to us. There's noting wrong with fat, furry, statement eyebrows. If you don't like it blame Cara Delevingne. It's all her fault.

Floral and nude.

I came to conclusion that this pair of floral trousers were one of my best buys this year. They with absolutely anything really and put me in the best mood possible (as you can see in the photos...). This time I paired them up with a nude shirt with a studded collar and cuffs. It is a great spring look for the office! Just pop on a pair of black shoes and you're good to go! It will definitely brighten your day up and you might get a few nice comments from your colleagues. What could be more motivating, eh?

Iamshoeshopping featured in Viva Magazine NL

Morning lovely people! I have mentioned some time ago that I will have some good news for you. They come a bit delayed but still... One of the photos from our blog got featured in Viva Magazine published in the Netherlands! It was a feature on focusing on the waist, also by means of peplum. Thank you Lisanne from Viva for picking my outfit photo! I am very pleased to appear there, especially because my favourite fashion blogger Christine from Fash'n'Chips was featured in Viva NL as well!
I wish I understood how they translated the two questions I answered... Anyone speaking Dutch?

You can see this outfit featured by Zara here and the full post on this outfit here.

Inspiration. The cobalt suit.

Ever since I saw this photo somewhere in the vast space called the Internet I couldn't get the idea of a matching cobalt suit out of my mind. I became obsessed with finding out who was wearing it and what the whole look was like! Combining bold cobalt and crisp white seemed just so perfect, fresh and... right. I didn't take long to find out who styled themselves beautifully in that royal shade of blue - it was Miroslava Duma herself (below). It obviously comes as no surprise as this lady is probably the most stylish one on planet Earth (sorry Anna Dello Russo, Mira wins). What is so great about this suit? It's hard to decide whether it is the wide leg, the perfect long jacket, the rolled-up sleeves or the double flaps on the pockets. It seems to be a combination of all these factors and the simple white buttoned-up shirt. Or is it the hair? The not-so-perfect Ukrainian plait... Oh Miroslava, could you be any more effortless? Why not try to give it a go? I've found a lovely jacquard cobalt suit in Topshop (see the bottom of this post for a link) for a reasonable price of £95. Try wearing it with white, orange, pink, nudes or... nothing underneath. If you dare that is!
