Just a short note...

Evening lovely people. Just a short note to inform you all that our blog's name just got shorter. I hope it will make it easier for you to find us, pop in and see what's cooking in the shoe shopping world. So if you've got our page bookmarked, make sure you update it. But don't worry if you use the old address - it will still get you right here!

The view from the catwalk.

Thanks to Canon, I had a chance to see the catwalk show from a slightly different perspective... I was allowed to take a place in the photographers' pit! Lots of big men with huge lens were surrounding me looking bored and fed up... All I could hear was the flapping sound of their cameras capturing the models as they walk by. It sounded like being amongst millions of butterflies. I've manage to take a few shots myself even though I was probably more interested in watching the show itself lol. The show featured four trends for the next year: graphic art, urban lifestyle, eastern promise and dollhouse. All spotted by Hilary Alexander! She was in the Vodafone Lounge talking about the show in person!

Snapshots from London Fashion Weekend.

As promised, I'm, sharing with you some on the snapshots from London Fashion Weekend. It was a great place to be at. Definitely. I managed to meet the fantastic team at Canon, some really stylish people, eat the best carrot cake in my life and listen to some inspiring fashion chats. I had a chance to hear the juicy stories behind the cover shoots for Elle thanks to Miette Johnson, the Art Director for Elle UK. She was also inspiring and had time to chat to us about directing one's career towards fashion. Lydia Rose Bright, VV Brown and Grace Woodward (quite big names, eh?) talked about vintage fashion and trying to raise awareness that it's not only about looking great but also re-using clothes as opposed to putting them in the bin to be destroyed. One of the best spots in Somerset House was of course the coffee shop - Tom's Deli. The best carrot cake ever, good coffee and nice chatty people hanging out there. Believe it or not, skinny people eat too! I was shocked, personally. Apart from it all, lots of really stunning clothes and accessories. From beautiful shoes to Cambridge Satchels (you should have one in neon!) and gloves with... finger nails? My friend and I went off on a mad one thinking what colours we should paint them. It was busy and bursting with fashion. A great event. Roll on September!

Matching floral print.

It's been soooo cold and dark for soooo long that I've decided to forget about it for at least one minute and go back to the photos we've taken a couple of weeks ago when the sun was shining and it wasn't ridiculously cold. I'm not exactly sure how it works but floral print makes one... happy. Try it if you don't believe me! Cover yourself in flowers and soak the positive energy in. Well, just wait for the temperatures to get above two degrees... Tomorrow I'll be sharing some more photos and stories from London Fashion Weekend so stay tuned!
