On eyeliner.

As you might have noticed, I'm not really bothered by make up. But there's three items I cannot possibly go without. Wanna guess? Yes, it's eyebrow pencil. Yes, you're right - it's blusher. Well done, the third one is eyeliner. Before I got a bit lazy, I used to wear it everyday. It makes me feel good. As simple as that! A lot of you will probably say that it is too much hassle to apply it. True, but only at the beginning. It's kind of like riding a bike... once you master it, you'll have the perfect flick transforming your face completely at a single stroke of a brush.

The colour. Unless you're Rihanna go for black. I mean B L A C K black. Nothing else. Don't try to look like a parrot hanging out on a pirate's arm shouting 'Polly wants a biscuit'. If you're going for the cat eye leave the colour for the lip.

The shape. Any. Really, any. Whether you prefer it thinner or thicker, shorter or longer, it's all cool. Just abstain from 'correcting' the shape by making the line thicker. You might end up with an Amy Winehouse look. Not a good look if you're not Amy Winehouse. And we all know you're not her so stick to a reasonable amount of eye-liner on your eyelids.

Which one is the best? As I have already mentioned here, the best of the best as far as eyeliner is concerned is Guerlain. After you've used it for the first time you're going to ask yourself the inevitable question: What have I been doing for X years of my life? It is that good. Even though it's pricy, I've had mine for over a year now and it's still as fresh as when I bought it with still a third of the bottle full.

I struggle with pencils - they smudge and I end up looking like a panda. With eyeliner it's different. A good one stays put and adds glamour to any look. And it's like a white shirt - goes with absolutely anything.

Sweatshirt and shorts.

I know it's like minus 50 degrees now... We took these photos on the warmest day of the year so far when it was plus 16 - I thought I would explain the shorts before I get told off by my mum, if you know what I mean. This is one of my sweats that I have been buying lately. It's kind of white and I'm totally in love with it! There will be more of sweatshirts on the blog soon... Currently, I'm trying to figure out what to wear them with... Happy Wednesday lovely people!

Lots of inspiration, new ideas are kind of spinning around in my head. I'm not sure in which direction they are going... Follow me on Instagram for instant updates! @iamshoeshopping

New in. Monochrome luxe sweatshirts.

Do you ever surprise yourself? I mean, when it comes to buying clothes, do you ever feel that something you're buying isn't really what you would normally go for but a little angel (or devil, shall I say) is whispering 'go on, treat yourself, you know you want it' straight to your ear? Well, apart form being tempted by clothes a lot in general, I seem to have started following a new road. Will it be bumpy? Will it be smooth? We shall soon find out.

I have developed a sweatshirt addiction. And by sweatshirt I don't mean my grey I heart NY sweat which probably isn't the best quality and was purchased from a dodgy looking bloke somewhere in lower Manhattan. I mean the luxe sweatshirt, as they are called. The ones made of materials, you would never expect a sweatshirt to be made of. The ones that have a statement print. The ones that generally don't look casual enough to wear them with jeans. The ones that you want to wear with smart trousers and heels.

Whose false is it? I'm sure we all remember Miroslava Duma captured last September in New York during the fashion week wearing the green Kenzo sweatshirt. For me, that was a kick-start. Later, the scuba sweatshirt came around, then leather kind of took place of cotton and that's how I came to buy a white leather sweat last Sunday. Voila!

Neon and white.

Neon and white? Why not! Since it was a sunny afternoon when we shot these photos I've decided to pop my white trousers on and go even brighter with a neon jumper. Can't get enough of both of those items for some reason...
